Things To Do In Midtown Atlanta

Autumnal scene in Piedmont Park, with Midtown skyscrapers in the distance.

Midtown is one of Atlanta’s three business districts and a popular residential neighborhood, lying northeast of the original Downtown. It is home to many of Atlanta’s biggest attractions, from Piedmont Park to the High Museum of Art, and is one of the parts of the city most visited by tourists and locals alike for its shopping, recreation, nightlife and arts and cultural attractions.

Upper Midtown is one of Atlanta’s principal art districts, with a cluster of art museums, theaters and other cultural venues open for daytime and evening events. Peachtree Street is Midtown’s main shopping and dining area, running through the neighborhood along a north-south axis.

Midtown is walkable, and easily accessible by any of its three MARTA stations, located in the north, middle and south of the neighborhood along a line running parallel to West Peachtree Street.
